Giovanni Aleotti wins Sibiu Cycling Tour as Stefano Gandin secures final stage

Giovanni Aleotti has won the Sibiu Cycling Tour for the second year in a row. The final stage was won by Stefano Gandin (Corratec).

Stefano Gandin (Corratec), Michael Kukrle (Elkov-Kasper), Meindert Weulink (ABLOC), Lukas Meiler (Vorarlberg), Timon Loderer (Hrinkow Advarics Cycleang), Nícolas Sessler (Global 6) and Cristian Raileanu created a gap of around one minute from the peloton at the start of the race .

The peloton caught the breakaway riders ten kilometers before the finish line. Kukrle and Gandin managed to create some distance between the peloton. Gandin was able to overtake Kukrle in the last corner before the finish line. Kukrle had to be satisfied with second place. Meiler finished third. Aleotti crossed the finish line and took the overall win for the second year in a row.
