Filippo Zana breaks through to take Italian national title

Filippo Zana has came off the Giro d'Italia with a disappointing season, however the Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè rider has very quickly turned the team's year around as he won the Adriatica Ionica Race, and today has conquered the Italian national championships.

The 23-year old has finished in the 237-kilometer race, a hilly day in which he thrived. Not only did he take part in the leading group towards the finale, he took an impressive win in the final sprint against Lorenzo Rota and Samuele Battistella.
