Cycling Market: Basque cyclist Mikel Landa, 33, already knows which team he will ride for in the 2024 season.
Among the options he has had on the table are the possibility of renewing with Bahrain-Victorious itself, joining the Soudal Quick-Step team along with the promising young Remco Evenepoel, returning to the ranks of INEOS, or signing with Lidl Trek (Josu Larrazabal, director of the Lidl Trek team, has publicly acknowledged that they have maintained contacts to try to sign the talented rider).
According to information obtained by MARCA, the final decision has already been made and suggests that Landa will opt for one of the first two options. In this way, rumors suggesting talks with teams such as AG2R or Arkéa are denied, leaving the aforementioned alternatives as the main candidates for the rider's future.
At the last Tour de France, Mikel Landa expressed his interest in the possibility of competing in the same team as Remco Evenepoel, highlighting his admiration for the young rider's racing style and character. Thus, a union between the two talents could be one of the options that Landa is seriously contemplating for next season.
On the other hand, Evenepoel has made it clear that there is no truth in the rumors linking him to a possible move to Ineos, thus clearing up any speculation about his future team. Mikel Landa's decision will be crucial for next year's cycling scene, as his talent and experience make him a coveted rider for several teams. His presence in any team will bring indisputable value and the fans will be anxious to know what his final choice will be.
With his destination already mapped out, it only remains to wait for the official announcement by the Basque cyclist to know what his team will be next season and how this move will affect the competitive landscape of world cycling.

He will be a good domestique for Remco but not in the line of Kuss.

He's never proven to be any kind of domestique in his career so what makes you think that'll change? He's failed as a grand tour leader and one just doesn't go to domestique level overnight. He was getting dropped in the Tour on all the big climbs.

Until 2022 he was on the podium of GTs. He was a domestique for Froome in 2016 and 2017. This year was a blip though. But he should be able to guide Remco at least halfway to 6 k from the mountaintop.

Landa is a head case and has-been. Went for the money at Sky and didn't want the pressure of being a GC leader. Remco needs younger not older riders to support him.
