Once World ITT Champion, Chloé Dygert, is still coming back from the terrific injury she suffered in 2020. One of the consequences is that she's no longer able (willing) to dominate against the clock. But she doesn't let that stop her and she's slowly learning how to bring her talent into other areas like climbing and sprinting, as she keeps on showing this year.
"I think this injury is probably going to be there the rest of my life," said Dygert. "I just think the blood flow isn't normal or ever going to be the same, but I can't complain because I'm able to race and able to perform. It's a blessing to be back and I won't complain, that's just the way it is and how it's going to be and that's OK."
Chloé Dygert went on to win the second stage of RideLondon Classique and followed it up with a 2nd place the very next day. This put her into second overall as well, just behind Charlotte Kool.
"I'm really happy with the team, we worked so well together and it was really exciting to pull something like that off," Dygert said. "I think at this point we're really learning to trust each other and have a lot of faith in each other and that's how wins and podiums are going to come out."
