How Giro d'Italia 2023's Prize Money was distributed between riders and teams - Primoz Roglic and Jumbo-Visma take biggest prize

The Giro d'Italia had approximately €1.5 million euros to distribute amongst riders and teams. With the race over, all the results have been taken into account and the math made. Here are the riders and teams who took home the most prize from the Corsa Rosa and how much it was.

When it comes to the individual rankings, without surprise Primoz Roglic has taken the bacon. The victory of the Giro d'Italia has earned him the biggest prize of all, with over €289.000 being another reward for his performance. Geraint Thomas and João Almeida followed with their second and third positions respectively - alongside lengthy stints in the pink and white jerseys. Jonathan Milan, winner of the points classification follows. Derek Gee, Thibaut Pinot, Andreas Leknessund, Remco Evenepoel (despite racing only half the Giro), Damiano Caruso and Ben Healy concluded the Top10.

When it comes to teams, the contribution of Primoz Roglic saw no doubts regarding which team would get payed the most. Around 20% of the entire prize pool of the Giro was taken by the Dutch team, although the gap here wasn't as big as both Thymen Arensman and Laurens de Plus contributed for INEOS Grenadiers €227 thousand euros. UAE Team Emirates, Bahrain - Victorious and Team Jayco AlUla followed, whilst Green Project-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè was the last team in the standings with just over €13.000 euros.
