Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig on her Tour de France Femmes goal - " Same ambition this year, trying to get that podium"

Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig is a force to be reckoned with in the world of cycling, and she's not holding back this year, she's going all out to try and win the yellow jersey at the Tour de France Femmes.

In the inaugural Tour de France Femmes, she dazzled spectators with an impressive showing, securing a win in the third stage of the race. Unfortunately, a nasty crash the following day left her and her second-in-command Marta Cavalli injured and forced her to relinquish her hopes of winning the overall General Classification.

This indicates a direct battle with Annemiek van Vleuten, the reigning champion who won the yellow jersey last year. “Annemiek is an amazing bike rider. As it is at the moment, she’s the one to beat. We’re going to try and do that this year. I believe in us,” she told Eurosport.

She boldly announces her intention to compete against others and aims for the yellow jersey. “I also came into last year’s Tour wanting to go for the GC and I think we have the same ambition this year and trying to get that podium,” concluded Ludwig.
