Although the transfer announcements have slowed down over the last few days, in the backstage big moves are being prepared, and B&B Hotels-KTM are some of the main instigators as they're looking for new sprinters for the coming year and Mark Cavendish is a big option.
The reports coming from Gazzetta dello Sport's Ciro Scognamiglio suggest that, as has been rumoured for several weeks, there is a very high possibility that B&B Hotels-KTM will be signing both Mark Cavendish and Cees Bol for 2023. Ramon Sinkeldam has also been highly suggested as a possibility for the French team.
Although the likes of Luca Mozzato and Jérémy Lecroq positively surprised during the Tour de France, the French squad will be aiming higher in the coming season. With the entry of Carrefour as a title sponsor for the coming year it is estimated that the team will have a budget between 15 and 20 million euros - a number superior to that of several current World Tour teams.
The team will remain at Pro Team level, but with an almost certain participation at the Tour de France and French calendar, aswell as the increased budget, it has become an attractive hotspot for riders out of contract for the coming year. With Bol set to leave Team DSM and Cavendish confirmed to be on his way out of Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team, both may find common ground next year.
