Team SD Worx will take to the start of the
Tour of Scandinavia two riders down today, after yesterday's heavy crashes led
Demi Vollering and
Niamh Fisher-Black to abandon the race before the start of today's stage.
Vollering was a major candidate into today's summit finish at Norefjell which would largely decide the outcome of the race. After finishing second at the Tour de France Femmes, this comes as hit to the team. She crashed during yesterday's stage and was accessed for concussion after the finish, and the team opted to pull her out of the race as precaution.
Niam Fisher-Black was also forced to abandon the race due to similar reasons, as she will not take to the start today after being diagnosed with a broken collarbone. Both were within striking range of the race lead, which is currently held by Marianne Vos who's won the opening three stages of the race.
