Casper van Uden and Pavel Bittner will make their professional debut in August. Both riders are being promoted from the Team DSM training team to the World Team.
"This is a dream come true. Since my arrival in 2020, I feel comfortable with this team, the way of working, and how we planned my development. That has gone really well so far. I have already been able to get used to the WorldTeam because I already rode a few races with them," van Uden said. The Dutch rider has ridden to a fourth place on Scheldeprijs this year, and has taken wins at the Tour de Normandie and Le Tour de Bretagne. He is a well known sprinter in the under-23 ranks who has shown to have the legs to be competitive in the elites.
"I want to learn a lot with this team and continue to grow so that hopefully I can be one of the leaders in the future," he added. As for Pavel Bittner there is similar potential, although the 19-year old has not yet taken a win this year. The duo consists of two sprinters who are set to aid the likes of Alberto Dainese and Cees Bol later in the year, but above all build the team's future.
"At the moment there is a lot of mutual trusts, This is the perfect place for me to grow as a rider, but also definitely as a person... I've already learned a lot here on the training team and in the main team, but I feel like I belong in the World Team. Now I want to gain experience and develop myself in a steady way," said Bittner.
