Axel Zingle takes debut pro win at La Route Adélie de Vitré

The 23-year old rider from Cofidis has taken his fist professional win today as he sprinted towards the victory at La Route Adélie de Vitré. The race was marked by the bad weather which made the race complicated. Axel Zingle has taken Cofidis' seventh win of the season, all of them in French territory.

The hilly race had seen a small group head towards the line for a sprint. The 176-kilometer long race featured several laps of a hilly circuit around the town of Vitré, where pre-race favourites Arnaud Démare and Bryan Coquard were distanced and made way for a different set of riders to discuss the win. From within the 5-rider group that went to the line, Zingle took the best of Dorian Godon and Valentin Ferron to take the win.
