The Italian sprinter had been out of contract so far this season, but
Attilio Viviani has found a new home in Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB for 2022, as announced by the team yesterda.
"I am very happy to join the Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB team and I thank its manager Christophe Brandt for his trust. I'm on a very good path to reach my best level and be competitive in the sprints," Viviani said in a press-release from the team.
Elia Viviani's younger brother has been part of the Cofidis structure for two seasons, having taken two teams in the period where he stood-out as a leadout for his brother's leadout. He was not given a contract for this season, but now has been able to find his new place in the peloton as he joined the Belgian team - which also has a lot of focus in the sprints with Stanislaw Aniolkowski and Timothy Dupont.
Viviani has shown himself ready and motivated to tackle the new season, and has added: "My training is going very well and my progress is fast. I am a road-sprinter. I appreciate nervous races with a flat profile or with small hills, the cobblestones suit me well too, except when they are too hard like in Paris-Roubaix. As an Italian rider, I prefer riding in the sun and in the heat. I am ready to give my all for my new team. I am a challenge man!"
