Ashleigh Moolman extends for one more year with AG Insurance - Soudal Quick-Step: "My power data is still improving from year to year"

Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio has extended her contract with AG Insurance - Soudal Quick-Step until the end of 2024, committing to at least one additional season as a professional after having set aside her retirement plans last year.
"It always takes at least a year to find our place and to get to know each other," Moolman-Pasio told Cyclingnews prior to the announcement.
"That's why I believe it would be really great to have another year with the team because I think next year will be the year where, particularly in the Classics, we can get the results that we are aiming for. This season it was a little bit more difficult in the Classics because a lot of the teammates that I had in the Classics had never ridden those races before."
"My power data is still improving from year to year and I think the big steps that I took last year, during what should have been my final year with SD Worx, was actually due to Zwift," Moolman-Pasio said.
"Cycling on Zwift actually makes me physically stronger because it's a combination between gym work and cycling specific intervals… I believe this is what's really helped me to take these next steps in the past two years."

- So gracious to offer something no-one would be prepared to pay for. The Giro is not the Tour and doesn’t command the same interest or attract the same “elite” (those willing to pay to be a part of something they consider has ego boosting potential). Roadside viewing will always largely remain free for everyone outside circuits. Introduction of a symbolic entrance to mountain climbs is worthy of exploration. Asking 1-2€ isn’t going to repulse real fans (most will spend 50-100€ on their outing that day all things included) but will prevent a portion of the total knobhead thrillseekers who will join in any large gathering as long as it’s free, just because they’re attracted to crowds, without which it it difficult for them to work up their anti-social behaviour.Jumpyjohn07-11-2026

- any rider less than 25 whether they are really ready for the position of leadership of GT is probably not the case. I think Pogi himself suffered when he was defeated by Jonas in the TDF twice.
