Amstel Gold Race Ladies was on the road early on today, in what is busy schedule in the region this Sunday. However, the race has been neutralized for unknown amount of time due to a non-racing accident that happened ahead of the peloton.
For the race to be ran safely through the roads of the Netherlands, there is the need for a lot of police to move in front of the peloton at all times to block roads and make sure there is no traffic for the riders to face. A complex and difficult task that involves many.
Unfortunately, after 40 kilometers of racing, one such vehicle has had an accident which requires serious medical attention on the road. There is then a block on the road due to the vehicles on the scene, and the peloton must wait for it to be cleared before it can resume racing.
