The event offers Ecuadorian fans a unique opportunity to feel part of the action, as they will be able to participate in the same route that Nairo and Carapaz will ride. The competition will take place, according to the folks at
Ciclismocolombiano, on the last day of the event and will feature a 136.8-kilometer route. Cyclists will start from the Bicentennial Park, riding through emblematic places such as the Historic Center, Sangolquí, Tumbaco, Nayón, Carcelén and the Mitad del Mundo Monument, to finally return to the starting point at the Bicentennial.
The race will start at 6:00 a.m. and will last until 2:00 p.m., during which time participants and spectators will be able to enjoy the excitement and adrenaline that characterize high-level cycling. The atmosphere in the Ecuadorian capital is expected to be vibrant and full of enthusiasm, as the two great Latin American cyclists will provide a show that will captivate all those present.
Participation in this special event will be open to amateurs over the age of 15, and registration will range from $100 to $200, allowing cycling enthusiasts to have an up-close experience with their idols and share the asphalt with two Giro d'Italia legends.
