With 8 seconds to go, his lead over his rival was 25 seconds. Vacek was in an attack with Lorenzo Rota, Jenno Berckmoes and Joseph Blackmore. On the final climb, the four were in the lead but the peloton was closing the gap very quickly. With just over 300 meters to go, they were caught and at
Jasper Philipsen, winner of the third stage, was still in the group. However, in a finish that was too hard for a rider of his characteristics, he was unable to challenge for the victory. Aranburu passed everyone at the end and managed to raise his arms at the finish line. Waerenskjold continues to hold the lead with a 2-second advantage over Vacek.
This is an immensely moment both for the Basque rider - who is racing the Tour de France soon - but also Movistar, and also Waerenskjold who is on his way to win the overall classification after holding onto it today.
