" A very, very important win for the team and me" - Alex Aranburu on his GC victory in Tour du Limousin

The fourth and final stage of the Tour du Limousin concluded with Vincenzo Albanese’s victory. Movistar rider Alex Aranburu finished second and won the overall tour.

Aranburu dominated throughout the tour, he secured bronze in the first and third stage, Gold in the second stage silver in the final stage. “It doesn't matter if I'm a bit sad that I didn't win the stage,” said Aranburu.

He continues,“ I ended up feeling very good all day and also in the sprint, but Ulissi was a very dangerous rival, and we were worried about his quality. A very, very important win for the team and me." It’s his first GC victory this season.
