- We are being spoiled with these MVDP, Jonas, Pogi podiums. First in Dauphiné, now in the Tour.
- Well done Roglic! so far no crashes! tomorrow is THE day. You could push forward at least 4-5 positions.
- Very impressive
- Maybe tomorrow Vingegaard in yellow.
- It says there was a crash just in front so then it’s unlikely due to lack of concentration, racing incident. At least he’s not blaming anyone ;-)
- That is not good concentration for a GC rider in the last kms of a GT.
- I agree, the early big sprint stages in the Tour de France can be frustrating, especially when they’ve taken out GC contenders in the past. Starting with a mountain stage or a mountain time trial could tire out the sprinters early. That said, sprinters need competitive stages to justify their participation in the Tour.
- I doubt he would be at the level he is without training, perhaps some in the team were trying to pressure him into doing too much?
If you consider it’s rare for a rider to do over 40k a year and that they average 35km/h (order of magnitude) that would be a little over 3 hours a day of cycling. Perhaps they expect him to do 6? But perhaps there’s a good reason nobody does more.
- Jeez, even Roodthof said it was a racing incident, nothing more.
- I totally agree with Adrie, it was an accident. Abbenhuijs and Roxene (who?) awful comments, really awful.
