Visually inseparable Van Dijke twins admit to a childhood mischief: "I once took Mick's test in disguise... Luckily the teachers could laugh about it"

Despite coming late into the world of road cycling, the Van Dijke twins were able to quickly establish themselves as important riders in spring classics and with their move to Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, they hope to prove they can do more than just support their leaders.

Anyone who sees a photo of both brothers will see almost no differences. This inevitably comes with a great opportunity for some mischief. In an interview in the RIDE magazine, they recall one such anecdote from their school days. "We once abused the fact that we are twins. I could learn a little better," laughs Tim. Brother Mick did very poorly in a certain subject at primary school.

Tim: "During lunch break we changed clothes and I sat in Mick’s place. And I took his test, successfully haha!" Mick adds: "Eventually we were betrayed... Luckily the teachers could laugh about it later. But that girl who ratted us out is still on the blacklist at the Van Dijkes, man!"
