Zoe Bäckstedt leads GB's ambitions at cyclocross European championships

British Cycling has revealed its team for the upcoming UEC Cyclocross European Championships .

Zoe Backstedt has been enjoying a remarkable year. In cyclocross season also, she has performed quite well in the last few races. She will be part of the U23 women's squad. Millie Couzens and Ella Maclean-Howell will also be part of the U23 women’s team.

For the Elite Women’s squad, the team has decided to go with Anna Kay. She recently secured victory in the National Trophy series - South fields, and before that, she was also victorious in Verge Cross Clonmel.

For the Elite Men’s squad, it will be Thomas Mein and Toby Barnes. Mein also recorded his victory in National Trophy Series - South Shields. He will be joined by Verge Cross Clonmel winner Toby Barnes.

Elite Women for European Championships: Anna Kay

Elite Men for European Championships: Thomas Mein and Toby Barnes.

Under-23 Women for European Championships: Ella Maclean-Howell, Zoe Backstedt and Millie Couzens.

Under-23 Men for European Championships: Joseph Smith, Bjoern Koerdt, Huw Buck Jones, Ben Chilton and Rory McGuir.
