In the last day of cyclocross of the 2021-2022 season Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal kept their winning streak as Laurens Sweeck conquered the Sluitingsprijs Oostmalle.
After a crash early in the race put Eli Iserbyt out of contention (and after, out of the race), Michael Vanthourenhout took a tumble aswell in the opening lap which saw Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal left to one rider who could be fighting for the victory. That however was secured as Laurens Sweeck stormed to another win in the sandy track of Oostmalle.
Thibau Nys was the last survivor to his pace but eventually had to let go, he finished in an impressive third place however as Jens Adams finished in second to round up a strong end of the season.
