Annemarie Worst takes surprising win at final race of the season in Oostmalle

On the final day of the 2021-2022 cyclocross season the riders faced a technical sandy track in Oostmalle from which a surprise emerged in the women's field as Lucinda Brand didn't manage to wrap off her season in the way she rode all year long.
It had happened in the sandy Koksijde track earlier in the season and the podium ended exactly the same as in that day, as Annemarie Worst flew into her third win of the season and with one of her best performances of recent times. Denise Betsema reached in for second place as Lucinda Brand rounded out the podium.
