Pim Ronhaar is all set to compete in UEC European Cyclocross Championships this weekend. He has been securing top podium positions in the last few weeks and even won Kleeberg Cross Mechelen in September.
“I’m really looking forward to this Saturday. I'm super motivated to try and take that jersey. Last year Ryan was the European Champion, I hope I can take it over from him this year,” Ronhaar told Cyclingnews.
In Koppenbergcross, Ronhaar played a key role for Lars van de Haar. “What Lars did on the Koppenberg is something I can dream of in the coming years. I hope I can improve year by year, hopefully, I will win someday in the future,” expressed Ronhaar.
He is competing in the U23 format, and Ryan Kamp is in the Elite category, so his chances of winning are pretty high, with riders such as Thibau Nys and Joran Wyseure as his main competitors. “For now, I'm going to do the Europeans and World Champs in the under-23 category. The season is going really well with the elite category, and I can make a switch. But for now, I'm doing under 23,” concluded Ronhaar.
