Michael Vanthourenhout has won the UCI World Cup Overijse. He beat CX World champion Tom Pidcock and secured his fourth victory of the season.
Lars van der Haar started with a nice lead, and Eli Iserbyt was trailing him. Tom Pidcock faced a mechanical problem at the start and had to change his bike. Stan Godrie and Daan Soete met with a crash in the first lap.

Pidcock made a comeback, he was in the fourth position in the second lap and ready to chase the leading group. By the third lap, Pidcock was in the lead. Michael Vanthourenhout was not ready to give up and continued his trail with Pidcock.
Pidcock crashed in the fifth lap, which gave Vanthourenhout the opportunity to secure the lead for himself. He quickly gained 13 seconds over Pidcock. Vanthourenhout maintained the lead till the end and celebrated his fourth victory of the season. Tom Pidcock finished second. Lars van der Haar took the bronze.
