Racing alongside his fellow Londoner Fred Wright, Hayter is excited to be back on the track. "It's really nice to think about the different tactics." The 24-year-old said. "I'm really enjoying the challenge, the style is very different but you can definitely can learn something."
Having had a string of near misses, finishing 2nd at both the
Olympic Games and the World Championship in the Madison, Hayter believes his experiences at the Gent Six Day will stand him in good stead to go one better next time around. "I'm learning some things every day and hopefully I can take that into the biggest races," he said. "In the Madison I've been 2nd in the Olympics and Worlds and I'll try to win one time."
