Marianne Vos returns to competition at Zonhoven World Cup, van der Poel and van Empel present in Dutch team

Royal Dutch Cycling Union has revealed the names of riders participating in the UCI World Cup Zonhoven. Mathieu van der Poel will lead the men’s team, and World champion Marianne Vos will lead the Women’s team.

Mathieu van der Poel beat Wout van Aert in X2O Trofee Herentals and he will try to do the same this weekend. His brother David van der Poel, is also part of the team. Lars van der Haar will act as a failsafe against van Aert.

World champion Marianne Vos will return to the field after being absent for more than a month. Fem van Empel, who currently occupies the top spot in the World cup rankings, and Puck Pieterse, who holds the second position, will also be present at the start line this weekend.

Dutch Elite Men for UCI World Cup Zonhoven: Lars van der Haar,Pim Ronhaar, Ryan Kamp, Mees Hendrikx, Mathieu van der Poel, Corne van Kessel, Joris Nieuwenhuis, Stan Godrie and David van der Poel.

Dutch Elite Women for UCI World Cup Zonhoven: Fem van Empel, Puck Pieterse, Lucinda Brand, Denise Betsema, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, Shirin van Anrooij, Inge van der Heijden, Manon Bakker, Annemarie Worst, Aniek van Alphen, Marianne Vos, Yara Kastelijn, Leonie Bentveld and Iris Offerein.

Dutch U23 Men for UCI World Cup Zonhoven: Luke Verburg, David Haverdings, Tibor del Grosso, Danny van Lierop, Bailey Groenendaal and Lucas Janssen.

Dutch Junior Men for UCI World Cup Zonhoven: Guus van den Eijnden, Senna Remijn, Jelte Jochems Floris Haverdings,Mika Vijfvinkel and Keije Solen.

Dutch Junior Women for UCI World Cup Zonhoven: Lauren Molengraaf, Puck Langenbarg, Sara Sonnemans and Bloeme Kalis.
