I feel that the UCI needs to introduce some kind of safety airbags for cyclists similar to what is worn by skiers and protects their torso and vital organs in the event of a crash.04:52

Given their shared history, it is unsurprising that Tadej considers Jonas his biggest rival at the Tour. Is he afraid of him, though? Naah.01-05-2026 06:05

The craziest thing is that cycling pundits are already talking of Seixas as being in the same league as Pogacar, who just a few months back, was considered untouchable and had already been given GOAT status. And this is when Seixas is just 19 and still improving, while Pogacar at 27 is (presumably) nearing his peak.24-04-2026 18:57

I would be more interested in seeing how he matches up against Seixas first. Are both of them racing at the CdD (or the Tour Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes as it is called now)? Maybe not Jonas, considering he is also doing the Giro.23-04-2026 19:41

Seixas has nothing to lose at LBL. If he doesn't win, it will be put down to his youth. On the other other hand, if he does somehow beat Pog (most likely in a two man sprint assuming neither has any other problem), the cycling world and the French in particular will go ballistic.23-04-2026 18:33

Seixas was certainly impressive at Itzulia, but he had practically no competition other than Lipowitz on one stage. Ayuso and Del Toro were well below their best, even before both crashed out. In fact, it would have been more interesting if Seixas had raced Catalunya instead of Itzulia, where he would have been pitted against Vingegaard.20-04-2026 18:00

With all the hype being created around Seixas, I hope that he can handle the pressure and weight of expectations - both physical and mental.20-04-2026 15:22

All teams need to have contingency plans in place for big races, in the event of accidents or mechanicals - which includes switching to neutral service bikes - and also practice them often during training. This is even more important for Paris-Roubaix, where mechanicals are the rule, not the exception.18-04-2026 05:05

History rarely remembers all the 'ifs and buts', only the final result. And to be fair, Wout was due some good luck for a change after all that he has gone through these last few years.14-04-2026 08:54
