It's not long now until cyclocross takes full control of the racing programme this winter. One of those hoping to make a big impact will be Baloise Trek Lions' Pim Ronhaar. As revealed in a post to the Dutchman's Strava however, his early preparation hasn't gone totally to plan.
"Crashed into a ravine," begins the 23-year-old's assessment of his latest training, adorned by images of a ripped and tattered Baloise - Trek Lions jersey with Ronhaar sporting both a bloodied and cut arm and upper leg. Nevertheless, the two time UCI World Cup race winner is keen to stress his luck at escaping with the relatively lesser injuries he sustained. "Luckily walked away with some bruises. Could have been a lot worse..."
"Thanks David Haverdings for the help," Ronhaar adds. "Two other Danish guys helped me to fix my bike again. Thank you!" See the images for yourself down below!
