As a Tormans rider, Corne van Kessel raced in
Exact Cross Loenhout for the last time. As of January 1, 2023, the Dutchman has switched to Deschacht - Hens - Maes. His tenure with Tormans began in 2020.
Corné van Kessel had a season with both highs and lows in the previous year. On the bright side, he placed fifth in the Schaal Sels Merksem race and ninth in the Gullegem Koerse event and also contributed to his team's victories. However, he also had to deal with injuries, including a collarbone fracture, which marred his experience.
As the new season approaches, van Kessel is ready to move on from the difficult memories of the past and start fresh. “'I've had several injuries this year. That's why I'm actually glad the year is over and that I can end the year," said van Kessel.
He is not very much focused on road season, his main goal will be cross-races. "Just ride as well as possible. 'I'm putting everything on the cross. I do ride road races again, but that's just as preparation for the cyclocross season. Before the road season starts, I will, of course, focus on the NK in Zaltbommel and the World Cup in Hoogerheide,” concluded the Dutchman.
