No surprises in the X20 Trofee Hamme. Mathieu van der Poel, as he has done throughout his cyclocross season except for the Benidorm race due to the fall he suffered, won again with ease.
The world champion gave no room for surprise, he started like a locomotive and nobody could follow him. Exhibition once again for him. Second finished the European champion Michael Vanthourenhout, the only one who was able to keep some distance from the Alpecin-Deceuninck rider. The podium was closed by Eli Iserbyt. Niels Vandeputte finished fourth ahead of Lars van der Haar, who finished fifth.
