Wout van Aert secretive on Zwift and Strava as he continues road to recovery

After fracturing his collarbone, sternum and a number of ribs in a nasty crash at Dwars Door Vlaanderen, Wout van Aert's spring was thrown into chaos. Although his road to recovery is underway, the Belgian is keeping quiet about how things are going.

Despite the fact that the Team Visma | Lease a Bike superstar has been spotted being active on training platform Zwift, van Aert is remaining secretive about his rides and how they are going, not uploading the results of said training performances to Strava as he would usually do.

What is visible on van Aert's Zwift account however, is that although he hasn't posted the results of any rides since February 22nd, van Aert has ridden 142 kilometres in the last 30 days for a total of 4 hours and 23 minutes.

Recently, Team Visma | Lease a Bike confirmed that van Aert would not be making his Giro d'Italia debut in the upcoming edition as had been initially planned. The fact he's back on his bike is a good sign for the remainder of the season however, with the World Championships and the Olympic Games two big goals that remain this year.
