Enric Mas was a very happy man at the finish line in Padrón after showing again that he is one of the strongest in the mountains on stage 11 of the 2024 Vuelta a Espana 2024.
During the climb to Cruxeiras he rode with Primoz Roglic and they ended up taking time off the Red Jersey of Ben O'Connor at the finish line (37 seconds). The Mallorcan was full of praise for the work of Movistar Team, which this time put two men ahead in the breakaway and then pulled hard so that the breakaway did not take so much time and to make the leader suffer. In the end, Roglic, Landa, Carlos Rodríguez and Gaudu reached the finish line and the Mallorcan is again third overall.
He commented the following at the finish line of Movistar's day: "The truth is that we wanted to do the job that BORA did at the beginning of the climb, the team has been great, we have included Pelayo and Carlitos, who are doing a great race, and of course the rest of the teammates as well. "
He is happy that he has finally been able to gain time and hopes to gain more when the stages, like tomorrow's, finish high: "The other day it finished down and they caught us, not today because there were more of us, tomorrow it finishes up".
