UCI has denied Dwars door Vlaanderen’s application for the Women's WorldTour. For at least the next season, the one-day race will continue with its ProSeries.
“We have submitted an application to be part of the WorldTour, just like with the men's race, but we have not yet succeeded before 2023. Of course, we think that's a shame, but we just have to accept it," Nele Dewaele told the Belgian press.

In total, Flanders Classics is responsible for Spring Classics, including Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Gent-Wevelgem, Dwars door Vlaanderen, Tour of Flanders, Scheldeprijs and Brabantse Pijl. Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is the latest to join WorldTour status.
The schedule for Dwars door Vlaanderen will remain unchanged. The race will take place on 29th March. "We have already received numerous requests from WorldTour teams, so the field of participants must be nice. It would be nice to have a Belgian rider as the winner. The Dutch have dominated so far, with eight out of ten victories," Dewaele concluded.
