Barring any disaster for himself or a miraculous ride from an opponent, Tadej Pogacar seems to have the Maglia Rosa all sewn up at the 2024 Giro d'Italia. Early on stage 20 however, the UAE Team Emirates leader has been spotted back at the medical car.
Seeming a little agitated, Pogacar was in deep conversation with the doctor for multiple minutes at the back of the peloton. In the end, the Slovenian was given a tissue of some kind and the Maglia Rosa proceeded to wipe both arms repeatedly with the said tissue. Meanwhile, almost every rider the went past was turning their attention to Pogacar, trying to catch a glimpse or a word of what exactly was going on, just as curious as the rest of us.
