British rider Oscar Onley won the mythical summit of Willunga Hill in the Tour Down Under after beating his compatriot Stephen Williams (new leader) and Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narvaez in the final run to the line.
His attack to win was so beastly that it left the two favourites, Julian Alaphilippe who tried to win meters before without luck and Simon Yates, stranded helplessly without reply.
The hitherto overall leader Isaac del Toro could not keep up with the pace of the top six in the last corner and lost 6 seconds that leaves him fourth in the overall standings with the final day to decide the Australian race. He came in just behind Frenchman Valentin Paret-Peintre.
