Today's stage of the
Giro d'Italia Donne had it's main spectacle in the ascents, however one of the most tense moments of the day came in the final descent off the Lago di Cei. Faulkner rode aggressively into a switchback, sliding and then having her real wheel off the ground. A terrifying moment, however one where the American managed to save the situation.
The stage was won by Annemiek van Vleuten who extended her lead in the race. Faulkner finished fourth and climbed to 13th in the GC after her teammate
Amanda Spratt abandoned the race with Covid-19 this morning.
