VIDEO: Jos van Emden in disbelief after third National time-trial Championship at 38

38-year-old Jos van Emden rolled back the years at the Dutch National Championships, showing some of his younger compatriots how it's done and winning the individual time-trial title.

Once his victory as assured, van Emden was embraced by Jumbo-Visma Head of Performance Mathieu Heijboer in a touching moment of sheer jubilation for rider and staff member.

“Oh, who would have thought that?” van Emden can be heard shouting, with the 38-year-old in sheer disbelief at becoming a three-time Dutch National Champion against the clock following his previous victories in 2019 and 2010.
