Enric Mas has been out to silence a lot of his doubters on stage 9 of the 2024 Vuelta a Espana, being attacking and a protagonist. On the descent towards the finish line however, the Spaniard's hard work may have been undone.
Mas had gained a minute on Ben O'Connor, Primoz Roglic and the rest of the remaining Red Jersey group going into the descent. After all his hard work however, there was disaster for Enric Mas on the descent. Although he thankfully managed to stay upright, the Spaniard almost catapulted off road and saw him chain pop off.

- Pointless reporting. They are rivals, each tries their way to get their best result, with or without collaboration. As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news).
