Valcar - Travel & Service reveals team for Tour de France Femmes

Valcar - Travel & Service has announced their team for the Tour de France Femmes. The team is heading into the tour without their sprint star Chiara Consonni.

Consonni has tested positive for Covid so she will be missing the tour. “She had Covid last week. Now she is doing well again, but in consultation with the team doctor, we decided not to take any risk," Arzeni told NOS.

The team will be at a significant disadvantage without their best sprinter. Consonni won the final stage in Giro’d Italia Donne. Alice Maria Arzuffi will be replacing her.

The team consists of climber Olivia Baril, and Ilaria Sanguineti will be responsible for sprints and breakaways alongside Alice Maria Arzuffi. Silvia Persico will aim for GC, while Margaux Vigié and Eleonora Gasparrin will provide the necessary support.
