Transfer update at FDJ: women's team secures junior supertalent Célia Gery, while Groupama - FDJ reinforces with top U23 climber Brieuc Rolland

Exciting news for the French World Tour FDJ - Suez as the ambitious women's team was able to secure the services of junior cyclocross star Célia Gery for next two seasons. Gery is currently both European and World champion in cyclocross and she's not lacking in her road performances either as in 11 UCI racedays in 2024, she is yet to finish outside the top 10.

"I am very excited to join the team, an ideal framework that will allow me to fully develop my skills and reach new heights in the disciplines that are dear to me: cyclo-cross and road cycling. This commitment represents an invaluable opportunity for me to fully develop while pursuing my passion for these two forms of cycling," Célia Gery expressed in press release.

The men's branch of the team owned by Marc Madiot didn't take long before countering with their own new signing announcement just hours later. Brieuc Rolland will make the switch from Groupama - FDJ's training team to the professional team next season.

The 20-year-old Frenchman is known as a climber. Rolland (not related to ex-pro Pierre Rolland) proved this with the overall victory at the U23 Peace Race this year, following in the footsteps of former winners such as Tadej Pogacar, David Gaudu and Lennert Van Eetvelt.
