Tom Pidcock has had a busy start to the season in the Algarve, Opening Weekend and Strade Bianche. He continues his schedule at Tirreno-Adriatico where he suffered a crash at the end of stage 3, but is ready to continue his chase for a win.
"I feel ok actually, I think I'm in pretty good shape I recovered ok. Now I need to focus on getting something out of this race," the INEOS Grenadiers rider told Cyclingpro.net this morning. Last afternoon, he fell in the final corner after Jasper Philipsen collided with other riders, losing the chance to sprint for a result.
However the Briton has seemingly not suffered meaningful damage, and today's hilltop finish in Giulianova may be his best opportunity to succeed this week. Friday and Saturday will see longer climbs, which he admits has not yet been a focus of his training.
"For sure the next few days are going to be a great challenge I look forward to that," he concludes. "It's been a while since I've trained in long efforts or anything like this so it'll be a bit different coming from Strade. I look forward to the challenge I guess."
