Three new faces, including experienced Steve Bauer step in as new sports directors at Israel - Premier Tech from 2025

Steve Bauer will succeed Rik Verbrugghe as Israel - Premier Tech's new sports director. The Canadian ex-professional brings along a great deal of experience in leader's role and should normally fit very well within the Israeli-Canadian nature of the team.

In his new role, Bauer will be tasked with managing the various team managers. He will also be the main man in putting together the team's race calendar. "After three seasons as team manager, it was logical that Steve would take over the role of sports manager," general manager Kjell Carlström said on the Israel - Premier Tech website.

"He has previously held the position of sporting manager at CCC. With his experience and skills, Steve will be important in shaping our sporting and performance departments as we continue to work towards our return to the WorldTour," he said ambitiously.

There will be more changes at Israel - Premier Tech, because the formation has also hired two sports directors. They are Alexander Cataford and Francesco Frassi. Cataford is certainly not an unknown name: the Canadian has a past as a rider at Israel - Premier Tech. After the forced departure of Sep Vanmarcke, the team was looking for fresh team leader blood.
