Spring revelation Kévin Vauquelin "on the road to recovery"

It is unclear when will Kévin Vauquelin make comeback to racing as the 22-year old is still recovering from spring injuries. The Arkéa - Samsic rider last competed in Switzerland at the end of April.

Spring revelation Kévin Vauquelin started Tour de Romandie as one of outsiders for the GC, but not much came of it, as he was forced to leave the race during the second stage with pain in his left hip.

One month later, there's still no date set for Vauquelin's return, but according to his team, the talented Frenchman is "on the road to recovery, but he still needs rehabilitation sessions at the moment."

Kévin Vauquelin had a great start to 2023, winning Tour des Alpes Maritimes et du Var and Tour du Jura besides multiple top 5 and top 10 finishes which saw him rack up over 500 UCI already. Vauquelin's original plans included Grand Tour debut at La Vuelta as GC leader and there's still a lot of time to recover before August.
