Soudal Quick-Step continues to rejuvenate its roster with signing of Antoine Huby

Antoine Huby has had a great season so far showing what he’s capable of on numerous occasions, with remarkable results such as winning the overall classification at the U23 Course de la Paix, as well as finishing second in Flèche du Sud and Liège–Bastogne–Liège and fifth in Tour Alsace.

"It was my childhood dream to become a pro rider and Soudal Quick-Step was one of the teams I’ve always dreamed of riding for. When I got contacted by Johan Molly, the squad’s scout, I couldn’t really believe it. One of my idols has always been Julian Alaphilippe, as we have this same cyclo-cross background, and it will be really special to be his teammate. On top of that, it’s nice for me to go to a foreign team, because it means I’m not staying in my comfort zone. I think I will grow a lot in many ways by joining Soudal Quick-Step," said Antoine, who signed a contract for two years.

"My nicest moment of this season came at the U23 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, where I finished second, so it was a big result for me, but also my victory at the Course de la Paix is something that will always stay with me. I like the punchy one-day races, but also the smaller stage races. Next year I will be surrounded by a lot of top riders who are very experienced, so helping them to the maximum and learning from them will be great," concluded Antoine, who when isn’t on his bike, can be found fishing or running in his spare time.
