Rui Costa truly found his best level again in 2023 and has closed off the season. The veteran has taken the victory on the hilly Japan Cup ahead of Felix Engelhardt.
The Japanese race was one of the final big events of the season and in a suiting course, the Intermarché-Circus-Wanty rider thrived. He, Felix Engelhardt and Guillaume Martin pulled away from the rest of the competition in the tough finale and then by that order sprinted to the line.
