Rigoberto Uran was one of the breakaway riders in the ninth stage of the Tour de France. Urán was still suffering from his fall on Saturday, and he could not maintain the lead and finished 34th on the stage.
"I tried to gain some time, and My feeling is not super good after I fell yesterday. The body has to recover. I tried, but the climb was tough. For me, the most important thing is to try every day," said Uran to Eurosport.
Despite his fall, he is optimistic about the future and wants to keep trying, "The morale is good. I know the Tour is tough. Yesterday I had a tough crash. But the most important thing is morale and trying every day. They are there for me every day, thank you for your support," concluded Uran. He currently holds 22nd position in GC, 9 minutes and 41 seconds behind overall leader Tadej Pogacar.
