Lotto Soudal have secured Arnaud de Lie and they are looking set to secure the squad's quality for 2023 and beyond as Andreas Kron has also renewed for the team.
He broke the news in an interview with TV2 after the finale in Lausanne, but Lotto Soudal have in the meantime confirmed the signing. Kron was signed in 2021 to be a part of the World Tour team, having won a stage at the Volta a Catalunya and another at the Tour de Suisse. His rapid rise to high-level wins has seen him gather the confidence of Lotto Soudal who have not waited to offer the Dane a new contract.
Kron finished fourth in the eighth stage of the Tour de France, confirming his talents as a puncheur. He's not had an easy season, however returned to form at the GP Aargau where he finished third, followed by another third place in the opening day of the Tour de Suisse. He will be looking to get a stage win at the Tour de France in the coming weeks.
“I definitely want to stay on this journey with the team. We have had our ups and downs for sure, but we have got to know each other very well over the past years. I am ready to rumble together with the team for another two years and confident that we can achieve great results together," he said.
