Medical Report and Fines - Tour de France 2022 stage 9

The ninth stage of the Tour de France saw the peloton enter the high mountains for the first time, as Bob Jungels stormed to an impressive solo win from the breakaway where he resisted the comeback of several other climbers in the final combination of ascents.

It wasn't a calmer day however, with some crashes taking place during the day. These riders were present in the race's medical report:

(148) Jonas Rutsch - Eye problem.

(173) Tony Gallopin - Hip and knee pain.

(198) Michael Woods - Multiple road rash.

As for fines, they were attributed to the following today:

(24) Filippo Ganna - Throwing bags and containers outside waste areas. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalty.

(36) Bob Jungels - Throwing bags and containers outside waste areas. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalty.

(73) Simon Geschke - Throwing bags and containers outside waste areas. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalty.

(97) Thibaut Pinot - Throwing bags and containers outside waste areas. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalty.

(196) Hugo Houle - Throwing bags and containers outside waste areas. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalty.

Israel - Premier Tech DS Steve Bauer - Non-compliance with marshals' instructions, 200CHF fine.

Jumbo-Visma DS Frans Maaseen - Non-compliance with marshals' instructions, 200CHF fine.
