EF Education-EasyPost have finally started making moves again in the market, and after signing Mikkel Honoré yesterday, today they have confirmed the stay of one of their most important riders, Rigoberto Urán.
After joining the team in 2016 Urán finished second in the year after's Tour de France behind Chris Froome, and has been a consistent figure in the Grand Tours all throughout the 2010's. Wins at the Tour, Vuelta and several other prestigious races have further added to his successful palmarès, and after some doubts on his future, that has been secured with the American team.

“I decided to keep racing because I like it. I have a lot of passion for what I do. My life is on the bike," Urán said in a press release. The most important thing is family support. My family likes being here in Europe... Me, I love it here, I love riding, so I want to keep going for a few more years. I get to combine my life in Colombia with sports here in Europe and I have my family’s support, so I decided to continue racing for a few more years," he said.
Urán was uncertain to remain in the American team, and it was also uncertain if he was to continue his career. This announcement comes off the back of rumours that had appeared over the last month, specially after the Colombian's win at the Vuelta a Espana, where he also finished ninth in the overall classification and showed to have the legs needed to fight for big wins.
