As the name
suggests, it is a game that revolves around the WorldTour. From Milano -
Sanremo onwards, every one-day race and stage counts. 133 in total. This makes
following the World Tour races even more fun!
How does
the game work? Before Milano - Sanremo, you select 65 riders who can score
points for you the entire year. However, you can only pick 15 riders per one-day
race and stage. This means you do not have to make choices before the
game. You will probably immediately have more than 15 starters for Milano -
Sanremo, and you will therefore have to choose who you do not play.
Each
one-day race and stage scores the top 20 of the results points. See the points
table below. In stage races, only the stage results count; the rankings do not
count. Team time-trials do not count either.
At the top
of the website, there is a link to the
WorldTour Manager!
It is important to
find the right balance in your team because a stage in the Tour de Pologne
counts as much as a stage in the Tour de France. Spotting new talents who get
opportunities in smaller races is, therefore, certainly a part of the game. For example,
Thibau Nys scored three stage wins in Poland last year and would thus gain 300
points in one go. In comparison, João Almeida only scored 269 points in the
Tour de France, while he finished in the Top 5.
