Preview. With five stages in length, the Renewi Tour from the 23rd to 27th of August has been shortened but is back in the peloton, the World Tour peloton will tackle the roads of the Benelux where the sprinters, classics specialists and time-trialists will be in the spotlight.
The race begins with a sprint stage towards Blankenberge. All road stages feature bonified intermediate sprints including this one. Stage 2 is a 13.6-kilometer individual time-trial which can be crucial for the overall classification and will set an order before the hilly days. Stage 3 is exactly the main one with the finale in Geraardsbergen, in a circuit that features several cobbled climbs and favours the classics specialists.
Stage 4 into Peer is going to be most likely another bunch sprints and the final day of racing into Bilzen will be a tricky one. The final day of the race and with several hills it can see attacks in search of the race victory, however the terrain is not overly difficult and a sprint could see this stage's winner.
